Merry Christmas (plus changes)!

Hey there everyone! I know it's early, but I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! :) And a Happy New Year if I don't post again by then. Hopefully everyone is settled into the Christmasy mood and has most of their present shopping done by now! And if you haven't...then you're like me right now. Haha.

Other than Christmas and New Years, nothing new has been going on lately for me. But I do have some changes planned for blogging, Etsy, and possibly other things. :D The changes are going to be slowly happening from the time of this post to a little after New Years. I plan on getting busier with studies, but also working with Etsy a ton more. I'm going to try to keep my blog more active as well. One of the changes that may happen is a new blog mostly for business purposes, but I'll make another post regarding that if it actually happens. lol Let me know in the comments on what you think about that. :)

My drawing has been really slow too. I do have a couple of things to show you guys though. Been mostly digital lately. :3

NaNoWriMo and Thanksgiving

I know it's a little early, but Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Get ready for the mad rush of Christmas shopping! lol. But seriously, there are so many things I'm thankful for this year, my family, my amazing friends, and so much more. I know, so unoriginal, but those matter so much to me. What are you thankful for? :)
In other news, I was able to get over my poison ivy pretty fast. The sad part is I wasn't able to finish Inktober. But y'know what, it's the thought that counts! I also started National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) for November. I got pretty far, with 11,500 words. I'm not going to be able to finish that as well though. This was the first year I did this and I was pretty happy with how far I went regardless of not 'winning' it.

Inktober #2

Yes I am back! Before a month is over! Exciting I know haha.

 So not much is new, although I'm trying to get over a case of poison ivy...again. I seem to be one of those people that always catch it really easily. Been interesting to draw with it. Anyways, here's more inktober drawings by me:

Inktober

Ahhhhgggg sorry guys, I meant to update this a while ago. Been loving the cool weather and the colors finally changing. I've also been suffering some weird type of artist's block where I wan to draw but nothing comes out the way I want it to.

I've been busy working with inktober (drawing in ink for every day of October) and trying to better my digital artwork skills. Here's some of my inktober drawings I've been working on:

Obviously my artwork has been iffy lately. lol

But that's what practice is for! ^_^

I'll come back and update you guys later. I might just make this a straight art blog where I update on my drawings and maybe some behind the scenes, so stay tuned!

New Drawing Tablet!

Hey hey hey! I'm back! And boy has it been busy!
 First of all, (and I'm sure you can tell from the title) I bought a new drawing tablet! *much excitedness pouring everywhere* It's a cheap one, $60 Ugee tablet on Amazon, but so far it's been pretty awesome to work with! When I opened it, 2 of the replacement nibs for the pen were broken (possibly going to contact the seller about this), and so far I have not found a program that is working with the pressure sensitivity, but overall, a decent tablet. Here's one of the first completed random drawings that I have finished:

I've also been absolutely obsessed with a new drawing style I found involving ink. You can find an example of this work on my Etsy page which will be listed down below. I might be posting some of those pictures soon too. I'll probably be working with polymer clay again too.

And oh my gosh, the weather lately...rainy, cool...I'm feeling fall coming. I get my most inspired during fall. So hopefully a ton of stuff coming to a blog near you! :)

Lack of Posts

Sorry about the lack of posts everyone. Lately I've been extremely busy combined with no inspiration has been a recipe for disastah! My Etsy shop has been feeling the results too. I haven't really figured out what I want to shape the blog into, so that's been one of the reasons I've been struggling. I've also been having lack of inspiration for drawing. I've heard listening to new music, going new places, etc. are good things to jump boost inspiration, so I've been trying some of that. What are your favorite ways to be inspired?

In the meantime, I've been enjoying the cool weather around the place I live. It's really starting to feel like fall complete with the changing colors. Somehow around this time I start to feel the urge to get off my lazy seat and make something, so hopefully more artwork will be coming!

Finally Selling, +Extra

Well, I'm back with another post. :) Just some little things I've been doing lately. At the beginning of July after watching some Youtube videos with an amazing artist, I decided I wanted to better my skills with drawing by doing something art related every day. I stuck with it for a bit, but became busy so I couldn't keep up with it. I have seemed to get my proportions a little better, so I'm happy about that.

This Disney inspired girl was helped by my friend who suggested I draw a Disney nerd princess. I'm pretty happy with it. For once inking didn't turn out too bad. 

These 2 were an experiment I had been thinking about for a while. Inspired by Downton Abbey, I tried to draw both an upstairs and downstairs girl that looked about the same. (I do realize the picture quality is bad, I apologize)

Also, I got to see Inside Out last night, so I'd thought I'd include my review on the movie here. Overall, the movie was very thought inducing and cute. It was a little more complex than I thought it was going to be, but it wasn't impossible to grasp. The animation was absolutely stunning, and drew emotions out. It'll be something I'll definitely want to be something I want to see again.
